I went to NYC to cover the 67th Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall for USA TODAY. I must say that Broadway does it best! So many expressive actors walked the red carpet and they had a TON to say and show! Even though it’s pretty tough shooting at an event like this, it was a blast and I had a chance to meet many new faces.
Just finished a fashion shoot and video with hair & makeup artist Sasha. Her work speaks for itself and her sense for style, fashion and trends is amazing! She does it all, from hair styles to makeup, she definitely is a fashionista! Check out the video I did for Sasha on my portfolio page and be sure to check her out at Eric Alexander Salon.
After a year of shooting and editing StudioA band performances for USA TODAY, I am finally the new co-host along with Korina Lopez. This show showcases emerging artists and bands with live performances and interviews. Check it out for yourself and see all the interviews and music performances at: studioA.usatoday.com and be sure to check out my debut as co-host at: http://t.co/L4bxkH49V5
Doing a fun shoot at Eric Alexander Salon in Maryland. All the stylists and staff are super cool and a pleasure to photograph. These are a few of the amazing stylists currently working at the salon. Check out my portfolio page for photos and videos and check them out online at: www.ericalexandersalon.com.
I recently shot an advertisement/educational video for master stylist Moses. His new revolutionary ‘Smoothing Elixir Haircare System’ has been hard to keep on the shelves these days. I had the privilege of visually bringing his products to life and showcasing them to the world. Check out the video on my PORTFOLIO page!
Just shot a piece at Karma Beauty Lounge by Erwin Gomez in DC and I must say I was very impressed with the professional service and staff. Hair stylist Peggy Ioakim gave Cindy Clark an Oscar hair due and I was there to capture it all! Really is amazing how my hair takes 3 minutes to fix compared to this 2 hour shoot!
‘Grouplove’ stopped by the 9:30 Club in DC last month and I had the privilege of shooting them during their sound check before their live performance. No wonder they are one of the top Indie rock bands, they truly sound amazing! They also sat down for an interview and talked about their new upcoming album and how they all met in the beginning.
Just finished editing a band shoot I did a couple weeks back for USA TODAY’s StudioA at the Sixth & I Synagogue in Washington, DC. We captured a three-song performance and an interview with the Swedish folk duo ‘First Aid Kit.’ They look and sound amazing! Video will be up on the site very soon…
Master stylist Moses came to me wanting an advertisement clip. He wanted something hip, fast, and full of fashion and glam! So we sat down and began at the drawing boards. We first came up with the theme and style of the piece and then moved towards a unique look. With various models, creativity, and fun we did it!
Just finished filming three live studio performances by Arlington based reggae group ‘SOJA.’ They only had 6 of their normal 8-9 crew members, but they still sounded amazing! Interviewed lead singer Jacob Hemphill afterwards and he had some pretty eye opening things to say about humanity and life. They will be performing at the 930 Club this Friday and Saturday so be sure to CHECKEM’ OUT!
